Obituary for Patricia Louise Siercovich

Patricia Louise Siercovich, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2007 at her home. Born on September 13, 1930 in Casper, Wyoming, she lived in Colorado, Texas and California before returning to San Antonio in the late 1950's. Shortly after settling down in Texas, she married John Matthew Siercovich, Jr., with his daughters Catherine and Elizabeth. She and John loved to travel to Mexico with the girls. In her retirement years, she visited California, Washington, Alaska, Paris, France, Western and Eastern Canada, and Rocky Mountain and Southwestern states. A woman of many diverse talents including Arthur Murray dance instructor, and store detective, she was known for her quick wit and repartee. She was accomplished in knitting, sewing, needlepoint and crochet. She was humble and wouldn't admit that she baked the most wonderful German chocolate cake though others praised it far and wide. She accomplished many things in her life but none was more dear to her heart than her only child, Bethany Ann. Preceding her in passing were her beloved husband, John Matthew Siercovich, Jr., her parents, B. Garnett Holliday and Martin Candelaria. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bethany and Brian Dunn, step daughters and the family of Elizabeth and John Fischer and Catherine Eberhardy; sisters and in-laws, Bonnie Holliday, Jody and Sherman Nathanson, Ervin Haberman; nephews and nieces: Evan Haberman, Hollin and Gail Haberman, Brentlee and Brenda Haberman, David Nathanson and Louise Stein, Geoffrey Nathanson, Bennett Nathanson, Joel and Cathleen Nathanson and two grand nieces, Leahana Haberman and Emma Nathanson, and her stepmother, Fay Candalaria, half sister Sylvia and half brother Roger Candelaria and their families. She is also survived by many wonderful friends. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Gloria, Maria, Mary, Alice, Myra and Janie, for the care they provided to Patricia. Though you are gone from our lives now, you will live on in our hearts, our minds and our souls forever.
